If you are off-campus, you may need to connect to the campus VPN before logging onto your computer.
To begin, you will need to connect to your local network where you are - either via Wi-Fi or with an ethernet cable.
Once you are connected to your local network, you can connect to campus VPN with these instructions.
1.At the Windows login screen, click on the "Connect to VPN" icon in the bottom right corner of the window (see screenshot above)
NOTE: If you cannot see the Connect to VPN icon, please shut down your laptop using the Power icon in the bottom right corner of the window, and once the laptop is completely shut down, then power it back on.
2.The Cisco AnyConnect client will open - type in "vpn.ucsd.edu" and hit Connect.
3.Select the group "2-Step Secured - allthruucsd", and type in your AD username and password.
If Duo is configured to send you a push notification on your phone, click Connect, and your phone's Duo app should prompt you
If Duo is NOT configured to send you a push, find the option on this page that you are registered to use, and then follow the instructions for sign-in: https://blink.ucsd.edu/technology/security/services/two-step-login/vpn.html
4.Once connected to the VPN, you can log onto the computer with your Active Directory username and password.
