Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the recent changes in campus policy regarding social distancing, the Office of Engineering Computing (OEC) will be 100% remote beginning March 19, 2020.

Office of Engineering Computing Hours during this time:

Monday - Friday

7:30 am - 5:00 pm

(note: web development / applications support available until 4:30 pm)

  • If customers need assistance, as always, they can email support@eng.ucsd.edu , or submit a support request here.

  • Our main mode of working with clients will be via email, Zoom, phone, and Google Hangouts Chat (instant messaging).

  • If it is determined that there is an urgent issue which can only be resolved in-person on campus, OEC will determine who will drive to campus to resolve the issue. You will need to expect a delay to account for travel time.

The Office of Engineering Computing (OEC) provides IT support for the Jacobs School of Engineering including staff, faculty, and labs for the various departments within Engineering. We also provide IT support for various campus entities via our recharge system. This type of support can be Ad-Hoc or contract work via our SLA.
